Cypress Hillside School thrilled parents and children in an atmosphere of love, fun and games at the Valentine Family Show-Love Day 2020 that took place at the school’s “Green yard” on Saturday, February 15, 2020.

The Co-founder and Head of School, Mrs. Sefunmi James-Ogbe in her welcome address shared the vision and the mission of the school with parents present, and why every parent should be committed to effective parenting.

According to her, every child is unique and every child matters. Cypress Hillside School is all about total care for children, complete leadership development from early age and educating the children to become global leaders.

The keynote speaker, Mrs. Bisi Adebayo, who is a trained Family Life Practitioner and a marriage counsellor of over two decades, emphasized the key role of parenting in this 21st century, and also shared various dynamics resulting from the current truth age as advancement in new technologies, advent of social media and information at the tip of our fingers. She encouraged parents not to abandon their parenting role or delegate it to anyone just because of the present economic situation. Mrs. Bisi is passionate about the role good parenting plays in national development and of the need for children to be properly raised and trained, both in the home and the school, hence she spoke with great passion on effective parenting in this 21st century.

On behalf of all parents, Mr. Nwaorgu thanked the management and staff of Cypress Hillside School, Lekki for putting together this unique Valentine Family Show-Love Day 2020. He stated further that the school has demonstrated their love for family’s unity, love and holistic development of children stating further that the school environment is safe, serene and friendly for every child to learn.
